SUPPORTING THE U.S. COAST GUARD AUXILIARY AND BOATING SAFETY AWARENESS

NATIONAL CONFERENCES: TWO NATIONAL CONFERENCES ARE HELD EACH YEAR, OFFERING A COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM OF MEETINGS, WORKSHOPS, ROUNDTABLES, TRAINING SESSIONS, AND FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITIES. NATIONAL TRAINING CONFERENCE ("NTRAIN") WAS HELD IN ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI DURING MARCH AND WAS ATTENDED BY OVER 150 PARTICIPANTS. THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE ("NACON") WAS HELD IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA DURING AUGUST. NACON WAS CANCELLED MID-WAY THROUGH THE EVENT DUE TO A COVID OUTBREAK. WE ANTICIPATE THE EVENT WILL RETURN TO NORMAL PROGRAMMING DURING 2024.


COAST GUARD AUXILIARY SUPPORT: THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES VITAL SUPPORT AND RESOURCES TO VOLUNTEERS OF THE U.S. COAST GUARD AUXILIARY AND OPERATES THE AUXILIARY CENTER ("AUXCEN"), WHERE AUXILIARY UNITS AND MEMBERS CAN PURCHASE UNIFORM ITEMS, EQUIPMENT, EDUCATION COURSE MATERIALS, AND OTHER UNIT PRIDE ITEMS.THE ASSOCIATION ALSO PROVIDES RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THE RECREATIONAL BOATING SAFETY ACTIVITIES, PROJECTS, AND REGIONAL TRAINING EVENTS OF THE U.S. COAST GUARD AUXILIARY. THIS INCLUDES DIRECT GRANTMAKING FOR INITIATIVES SUCH AS MEMBER TRAINING, PUBLIC OUTREACH AND EDUCATION. WE SEEK TO ENSURE COAST GUARD AUXILIARY VOLUNTEERS ARE TRAINED, EQUIPPED, AND READY TO SERVE AS "YOUR" COMMUNITY'S TRUSTED BOATING SAFETY EXPERT.
