OPERATION SHOWER CELEBRATES AND HONORS MILITARY FAMILIES BY PROVIDING BABY SHOWERS TO EXPECTANT FAMILIES TO EASE THE BURDEN OF DEPLOYMENT.

OPERATION SHOWER'S MISSION IS TO HOST GROUP BABY SHOWERS FOR MILITARY MOMS AND MOMS-TO-BE. THE MILITARY MOM NOMINATED FOR A SHOWER MUST (1) HAVE A SPOUSE OR PARTNER WHO IS DEPLOYED OR DEPLOYING DURING THE PREGNANCY, (2) BE ACTIVE DUTY WITH A GROUP THAT IS DEPLOYING OR (3) HAVE A PARTNER WHO WAS INJURED DURING DEPLOYMENT. WE ALSO INCLUDE FAMILIES WHO UNDERGO EXTENDED NON-DEPLOYMENT ABSENCES DURING THE PREGNANCY OR HAVE ADDITIONAL STRESSORS. WE ASK THAT THE MOMS HAVE NOT BEEN PREVIOUSLY SHOWERED BY ANOTHER GROUP DURING THE CURRENT PREGNANCY, AND THAT THE BABY IS NO OLDER THAN THREE MONTHS AT THE TIME OF THE SHOWER.IN 2021, WITH THE CONTINUED PANDEMIC, OPERATION SHOWER CONTINUED WITH DRIVE THROUGH EVENTS AND VIRTUAL BABY SHOWERS WHILE ALSO BEGINNING TO HOST IN-PERSON SHOWERS AGAIN. OPERATION SHOWER CONTINUED ITS B IS FOR BABY PROGRAM AND WELCOME, BABY BOX PROGRAM.OPERATION SHOWER HOSTED 15 GROUP BABY SHOWERS IN 2021 FOR MOMS IN ARIZONA, COLORADO, CONNECTICUT, FLORIDA, NEW MEXICO NEW YORK, TEXAS, VIRGINIA, MASSACHUSETTS AND MISSOURI. THE SHOWERS WERE ON AVERAGE OVER 25 MOMS. OPERATION SHOWER ALSO SENT OVER 340 ADDITIONAL SHOWER BOXES TO MILITARY MOMS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THE TOTAL NUMBER OF MOMS SERVED IN 2021 WAS 760 MOMS. FAMILIES IN ALL BRANCHES OF THE MILITARY WERE SERVED BY OUR SHOWERS. OPERATION SHOWER PROVIDED BABY GIFTS TO THE FAMILIES TO RELIEVE THE STRESS CAUSED BY DEPLOYMENT AND ACTIVE DUTY, AND ALLOWED FAMILIES IN SIMILAR SITUATIONS TO CONNECT WITH EACH OTHER. THROUGH OPERATION SHOWER'S B IS FOR BABY PROGRAM AND WELCOME, BABY BOX PROGRAM, THE ORGANIZATION WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE BABY SHOWERS IN A BOX TO THOSE FAMILIES WHO WERE UNABLE TO BE AT A SHOWER IN PERSON OR VIRTUALLY. THIS PROGRAM HAS ALLOWED THE ORGANIZATION TO REACH FAMILIES AND PROVIDE ITEMS TO THOSE IN NEED AND DESERVING OF THE ORGANIZATION'S SUPPORT. THESE PROGRAMS ALLOW AN OPPORTUNITY FOR INDIVIDUALS AND COMPANIES TO EXPRESS THEIR THANKS, LOVE AND SUPPORT TO MILITARY FAMILIES THROUGH THEIR VARIOUS DONATIONS.
