UPF USA PROMOTES EDUCATION AND FAITH-BASED PEACE AND COMMUNITY SERVICE INITIATIVES AFFECTING FAMILY AND COMMUNITY RENEWAL.

UPF USA SERVES COMMUNITIES IN 50 U.S. STATES IN NON-PROFIT GRASSROOTS PROJECTS. IN FYE MARCH 2022, LOCAL VOLUNTEERS CONDUCTED PROGRAMS SUCH AS INTERFAITH CONFERENCES AND PRAYER SERVICES, NATIONAL AND REGIONAL EVENTS FOR PARENTS OF THE YEAR AWARDS, AMBASSADORS FOR PEACE APPOINTMENTS, THE PEACE ROAD PROGRAM, YOUTH EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND COMMUNITY SERVICES. THE GOAL OF ALL THESE PROGRAMS IS TO STRENGTHEN COOPERATIVE RELATIONSHIPS IN THE COMMUNITY, INCLUDING DIALOGUES BETWEEN GOVERNMENT AND CITIZENS, MEMBERS OF DIFFERENT FAITH TRADITIONS AND RACES. TOGETHER WITH INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS, THESE PROJECTS ARE AIMED AT ENCOURAGING HIGHER MORAL VALUES, SERVICE TO OTHERS AND HARMONY WITHIN THE FAMILY. MOST OF OUR EVENTS WERE CONDUCTED VIRTUALLY IN 2021. UPF USA SUPPORTS THE RENEWAL OF THE UNITED NATIONS BY SPONSORING EVENTS COMMEMORATING UN SPECIAL OBSERVANCES, INCLUDING THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE, WORLD INTERFAITH HARMONY WEEK, INTERNATIONAL DAY OF WOMEN AND INTERNATIONAL DAY OF FAMILIES. UPF USA CHAPTERS COMMEMORATE THESE DAYS WITH A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS IN WHICH WE JOIN HANDS WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF MANY DIFFERENT FAITHS AND SOCIAL GROUPS WHO ALSO SUPPORT THESE OBSERVANCES. UPF USA WAS A MAJOR PARTICIPANT AND CO-ORGANIZER WITH OTHER NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN THE CREATION OF INTERNATIONAL EVENTS, INCLUDING THE INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE IN JUNE AND AUGUST 2021, THREE RALLY OF HOPE VIRTUAL CONFERENCE, PRAYER RALLY OF PEACE IN DECEMBER 2021, AND JANUARY 2022, THREE THINK TANK 2022 CONFERENCES AND SUMMIT 2022 IN JANUARY 2022, FOCUSING ON SCENARIOS AIMING TOWARD THE PEACEFUL UNIFICATION OF KOREAN PENINSULA. UPF USA'S ROLE IN THESE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES CONSISTED INVITING PARTICIPANTS, AS WELL AS PROVIDING LOGISTIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT.UPF USA'S ASSOCIATE ORGANIZATIONS CONTINUED TO ADDRESS PEACEFUL COOPERATION AND UNITY IN THE SOCIETY AND COMMUNITY IN VARIOUS AREAS. THOSE ASSOCIATIONS ARE: INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PARLIAMENTARIANS FOR PEACE (IAPP), INTERRELIGIOUS ASSOCIATION FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT (IAPD), INTERNATIONAL SUMMIT COUNCIL FOR PEACE (ISCP), INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR PEACE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (IAED), INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ACADEMICIANS FOR PEACE (IAAP), INTERNATIONAL MEDIA ASSOCIATION FOR PEACE (IMAP) AND INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRST LADIES FOR PEACE. (IAFLP) AND INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ARTS AND CULTURE FOR PEACE (IAACP).UPF USA INAUGURATED A NEW WEEKLY WEBINAR SERIES, STOPPING THE VIOLENCE, WHERE WE INTERVIEW ACTIVISTS AROUND THE U.S. WHO ARE LEADING EFFORTS TO CURTAIL GUN VIOLENCE AND REDUCE CRIME IN CITIES. THE GOAL IS TO IDENTIFY BEST PRACTICES AND ACTIVATE COMMUNICATION NETWORKS AMONG THOSE INVOLVED IN LOWERING TENSIONS AND REDUCING RECIDIVISM IN RECENTLY RELEASED PRISON INMATES.
