("RILM")WAS ORIGINALLY ORGANIZED IN 1966 AS AN INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIVEPROJECT OF THE INTERNATIONAL MUSICOLOGICAL SOCIETY (SWITZERLAND)AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MUSIC LIBRARIES, ARCHIVES ANDDOCUMENTATION CENTRES (UNITED STATES), AS AN ORGANIZATIONCOMMITTED TO A COMPREHENSIVE AND ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF MUSICSCHOLARSHIP IN ALL COUNTRIES AND LANGUAGES AND ACROSS ALLDISCIPLINARY AND CULTURAL BOUNDARIES. RILM WAS FORMALLYINCORPORATED AS A NEW YORK NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION IN 2000.
