PRINTED MATTER IS THE WORLD'S NON-PROFIT, DEDICATED TO THE DISSEMINATION, UNDERSTANDING, AND APPRECIATION OF PUBLICATIONS MADE BY ARTISTS. THROUGH THE ORGANIZATION'S TWO NON-PROFIT BOOKSTORES AND WEBSITE, PRINTED MATTER CIRCULATED TENS OF THOUSANDS OF BOOKS AND RELATED WORKS IN FY23. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED VITAL SERVICES AND OPPORTUNITIES TO ARTISTS AND PUBLISHERS AS WELL AS FREE PUBLIC PROGRAMS THAT ENCOURAGED EXPLORATION IN THE FIELD, SUCH AS ARTISTS' TALKS, PANEL DISCUSSIONS, EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS, BOOK LAUNCHES AND FREE CLASS VISITS HIGH SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES. PRINTED MATTER ALSO PRESENTED ITS NY ART BOOK FAIR, WHICH OFFERED 300 EXHIBITORS FROM AROUND THE WORLD AN UNPARALLELED PLATFORM TO CONNECT IN PERSONAL AND IMMEDIATE WAYS WITH THOUSANDS OF VISITORS, BOTH AT THEIR EXHIBITOR BOOTHS AND THROUGH MORE THAN 200 CONVERSATIONS, BOOK SIGNINGS, AND PERFORMANCES. IN FY23, PRINTED MATTER ALSO PARTNERED WITH 8-BALL COMMUNITY TO PRODUCE THETHIRD EDITION OF THE EAST VILLAGE ZINE FAIR, A COMMUNITY-DRIVEN EVENT FEATURING APPROXIMATELY 60 NEW YORK-BASED ARTISTS AND PUBLISHERS WHO SHOWCASED THEIR WORK THROUGH AN ARRAY OF CREATIVE AND EXPERIMENTAL ARTISTS' ZINES AND PUBLICATIONS.
