THE NATIONAL DANCE EDUCATION ORGANIZATION (NDEO) IS A NON-PROFIT, MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO ADVANCING DANCE EDUCATION CENTERED IN THE ARTS FOR PEOPLE OF ALL BACKGROUNDS. NDEO PROVIDES DANCE ARTISTS, EDUCATORS AND ADMINISTRATORS OF ALL BACKGROUNDS A NETWORK OF RESOURCES AND SUPPORT, A BASE FOR ADVOCACY AND RESEARCH, AND ACCESS TO PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES THAT FOCUS ON THE IMPORTANCE OF DANCE IN THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE.

NATIONAL DANCE EDUCATION ORGANIZATION (NDEO) PROMOTES DANCE ARTS EDUCATION THROUGH PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, SERVICE, AND LEADERSHIP. NDEO WORKS TO ADVANCE KNOWLEDGE IN THE FIELD OF DANCE EDUCATION, ENCOURAGES RESEARCH AND PRACTICAL APPLICATION, AND PROMOTES QUALITY INSTRUCTION IN DANCE. THE ORGANIZATION PROCURES AND IMPLEMENTS GRANTS, HOLDS PUBLIC DISCUSSIONS, SPONSORS CONFERENCES AND PROGRAMS, AND FORGES ALLIANCES WITH OTHER AGENCIES IN SUPPORT OF DANCE ARTS EDUCATION. NDEO HAD APPROXIMATELY 4,000 MEMBERS AT THE CLOSE OF THE CALENDER YEAR.
