THE MENTAL HEALTH MANAGEMENT AGENCY OF FREDERICK COUNTY, INC. (MHMA) MANAGES THE VARIOUS COMPONENTS OF THE PMHS IN FREDERICK COUNTY, MARYLAND.

THE ORGANIZATION ACTS AS A CLEARING HOUSE, DISTRIBUTING FUNDS FROM THE STATE OF MARYLAND TO LOCAL MENTAL HEALTH SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS. THE RECIPIENT ORGANIZATIONS ARE ALL NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.
CONTINUUM OF CARE (COC) - THE ORGANIZATION ACTS AS THE LIAISON BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE (BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ADMINISTRATION) AND FREDERICK COUNTY FOR LOCAL ADMINISTRATION OF THE COC GRANT. RENTAL ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS ARE PROVIDED OR CONTRACTED FOR HOMELESS, MENTALLY ILL INDIVIDUALS AND/OR THEIR FAMILIES WHO MAY BE INVOLVED WITH THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM.
MONEY FOLLOWS THE PERSON(MFP) - PROVIDES TRAINING TO MFP STAFF, HOME AND COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES WAIVER STAFF (HCBS), WAIVER CASE MANAGERS, HCBS PROVIDERS, AND MARYLAND ACCESS POINT SITES TO IMPROVE THE CAPACITY OF THESE PROGRAMS TO SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS WITH BRAIN INJURY AND OTHER BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CONDITIONS.
TRAUMA, ADDICTIONS, MENTAL HEALTH AND RECOVERY PROGRAM (TAMAR) - IDENTIFY INDIVIDUALS WITH TRAUMA HISTORIES WITHIN THE DETENTION CENTER'S MEDICAL UNITS AND INVITE CANDIDATES TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TAMAR PROJECT.
