THE DANYA INSTITUTE MISSION IS TO PROVIDE TRAINING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICE PROVIDERS AND CONSUMERS TO ENHANCE PREVENTION, HEALTH PROMOTION, AND TREATMENT SERVICES USING EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICES.

THE CENTRAL EAST MENTAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER CENTER (MHTTC) WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2018 WITH FUNDING PROVIDED BY THE SUBSTANCE ABUSE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ADMINISTRATION (SAMHSA) FOR HHS REGION 3 (DE, MD, VA, WV, PA, AND DC). THE MHTTC IS HOUSED WITHIN THE DANYA INSTITUTE. THE MHTTC WAS DEVELOPED TO IMPROVE THE IMPLEMENTATION AND DELIVERY OF EFFECTIVE SUBSTANCE USE PREVENTION INTERVENTIONS AND PROVIDE TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SERVICES TO THE SUBSTANCE MISUSE PREVENTION FIELD. THE MHTTC HELD 200 EVENTS WITH OVER 9,000 PARTICIPANTS IN 2021.
THE ATTC HAS SEVEN (7) OVERARCHING GOALS WITH PROGRESS MADE TOWARDS ACHIEVING THEM ALL. THESE GOALS SUPPORT THE AIM OF ACCELERATING THE ADOPTION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF EVIDENCE-BASED AND PROMISING SUBSTANCE USE TREATMENT AND RECOVERY-ORIENTED PRACTICES AND SERVICES. THERE HAVE BEEN 108 TOTAL TRAININGS AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE EVENTS, THERE WAS A TOTAL OF 4524 PARTICIPANTS. -IMPLEMENTING MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING IN WEST VIRGINIA BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROVIDER ORGANIZATIONS. -THE TRAINING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING IN CHRISTIANA CARE HEALTH SYSTEM. -THE TRAINING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING IN DELAWARE PUBLIC BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SYSTEMS. -IMPLEMENTING SBIRT IN PENNSYLVANIA ASSOCIATION OF COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS. -INTEGRATION WITH THE CENTRAL EAST MHTTC AND PTTC, OTHER SAMHSA T/TA CENTERS AWARDED TO THE DANYA INSTITUTE. -CONTINUED PARTNERSHIP WITH THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF ADDICTION PSYCHIATRY IN IMPLEMENTING THE OPIOID RESPONSE NETWORK. -EXPANSION OF TECHNOLOGY-BASED TRAINING AND TREATMENT WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT.
THE CENTRAL EAST PREVENTION TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER CENTER (CEPTTC) WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2018 AS A RESULT OF FUNDING PROVIDED BY THE SUBSTANCE ABUSE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ADMINISTRATION (SAMHSA) FOR HHS REGION 3 (DE, MD, VA, WV, PA, AND DC). THE CEPTTC IS HOUSED WITHIN THE DANYA INSTITUTE. THE CEPTTC WAS DEVELOPED TO IMPROVE THE IMPLEMENTATION AND DELIVERY OF EFFECTIVE SUBSTANCE USE PREVENTION INTERVENTIONS AND PROVIDE TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SERVICES TO THE SUBSTANCE MISUSE PREVENTION FIELD. DURING THE TAX YEAR OF 2021, THE CEPTTC REACHED CLOSE TO 6,000 INDIVIDUALS AND PROVIDED 94 SEPARATE EVENTS (WEBINARS, CONFERENCES, EXHIBITING, ETC.).
