EDUCATION: ASIRT PROVIDES GOVERNEMENT AND CORPORATE TRAVELORS AND EMPLOYEES, TOURISTS AND STUDENTS WITH INFORMATIONAL TOOLS TO MAKE SAFE, INFORMED TRAVEL CHOICES THROUGH ROAD TRAVEL REPORTS. DURING THIS YEAR, ASIRT ADDED A NUMBER OF SPECIFIC COUNTRY ROAD TRAVEL REPORTS TO ITS LIBRARY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THOUSANDS OF EMPLOYEES AT MAJOR CORPORATIONS AND STUDENTS IN THE STUDY ABROAD COMMUNITY. ASIRT ALSO PROVIDES GENERAL ROAD SAFETY INFORMATION FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE.
ADVOCACY: ASIRT CONTINUES TO ADVOCATE FOR EXPANDING THE CRITERIA OF DATA COLLECTED BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT'S BUREAU OF CONSULAR AFFAIRS ON U.S. CITIZENS WHO ARE INJURED OR KILLED IN ROAD CRASHES WHILE TRAVELING OR STATIONED ABROAD. ASIRT PARTICIPATED IN MEETINGS OF THE U,N, ROAD SAFETY COLLABORATION (UNRSC) IN GENEVA AND THE MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE IN BRASILIA. ASIRT COLLABORATES WITH THREE-STAR COALITION ON ROAD SAFETY EFFORTS AND ENCOURAGES THE WORLD BANK TO FUND ROADS THAT MEET MINIMUM THREE-STAR SAFETY CRITERIA.
