REGULARLY HELD TIMELY PANEL EVENTS: OUR EVENTS IN 2021 EXAMINED THE DE-ESCALATION OF CONFLICTS IN THE REGION BETWEEN DIFFERENT GULF STATES, AND BETWEEN U.S. AND IRAN. WE ALSO DISCUSSED BIDEN'S FOREIGN POLICY WITH THE GCC STATES, THE ENERGY AND ECONOMIC POLICIES OF THE GULF STATES, GENDER AND SOCIETAL ISSUES, AND ELECTIONS IN THE GULF REGION. OUR EVENTS' AUDIENCE EXCEEDED 15,000 VIEWERS ON TWITTER, YOUTUBE, AND LINKEDIN, WHILE OUR 22 VIRTUAL PANELS RECEIVED 15,000 GUESTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD. OUR EVENTS HAVE ATTRACTED ACADEMICS, DIPLOMATS, POLICYMAKERS, STUDENTS, INVESTORS, AND OTHER AUDIENCES WITH INTEREST IN THE GULF AND IN U.S.-GULF RELATIONS.

PUBLICATIONS COVERED A WIDE VARIETY OF TOPICS RELATED OUR SEVEN RESEARCH THEMES WHICH INCLUDE DEFENSE & SECURITY; SOCIETY; POLITICS & GOVERNANCE; U.S.-GULF POLICY; ECONOMY & INNOVATION; ENERGY POLICY; AND GEOPOLITICS. AYAD ALLAWI. THE WEEK-LONG CONFERENCE FEATURED 22 SPEAKERS, INCLUDING EXPERTS, OFFICIALS AND SCHOLARS FROM THE UNITED STATES, EUROPE, IRAN, IRAQ, AND THE GCC STATES. THE FORUM'S FOURTH ANNUAL GULF INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE PRESENTED AN UNMATCHED DISCUSSION AND IDEAS ABOUT THE GULF 'S POLITICAL, ECONOMIC AND SECURITY CONCERNS.
EXPERT INTERVIEWS PROGRAM: THE FORUM CONTINUED ITS "EXPERT INTERVIEW" PROGRAM, WHERE IT INTERVIEWED NINE EXPERTS, IN ARABIC AND ENGLISH, ON ISSUES INCLUDING ELECTIONS IN IRAQ AND IRAN, THE WAR IN YEMEN AND THE HOUTHIS' MISSILES ATTACKS ON SAUDI ARABIA AND THE UAE, GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE IN THE GCC STATES, AND PRESIDENT BIDEN'S FOREIGN POLICY IN THE GULF. PODCAST: IN 2021 WE CONTINUED OUR EFFORTS TO BROADEN OUR OUTREACH TO A LARGER AUDIENCE THROUGH OUR GULF INTERNATIONAL FORUM'S MAJLIS PODCAST. IN 2021 WE PUBLISHED 16 EPISODES COVERING VARIOUS TOPICS ABOUT THE REGION'S POLITICAL, ECONOMIC, SECURITY AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS. THE NUMBER OF LISTENERS TO OUR PODCAST IN THE U.S., THE GULF REGION, AND EUROPE GREW BY 85 PERCENT IN 2021. LISTENERS SUBSCRIBED TO OUR PODCAST FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD.LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS: THE GULF INTERNATIONAL FORUM'S LEADERSHIP PROGRAM TARGETS YOUNG PROFESSIONALS AND RECENT GRADUATES TO ENHANCE THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND RESEARCH SKILLS ABOUT THE GULF REGION. WE FOUNDED THIS PROGRAM WITH THE AIM TO ACHIEVE PART OF OUR MISSION THROUGH PROMOTING INDEPENDENT THINKING AND BUILDING AWARENESS OF THE GULF. WE STRIVE TO IMPROVE UNDERSTANDING OF THE GULF REGION AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE ACCUMULATION OF KNOWLEDGE ON THE GULF. THEREFORE, WE BELIEVE IN THE IMPORTANCE OF CONNECTING WITH YOUNG PROFESSIONALS AND STUDENTS WHO SEEK TO BE INVOLVED AND INFORMED ABOUT THE CHANGING STATUS, NEW CHALLENGES, AND EVOLVING U.S. INTERESTS IN THIS REGION.
