THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE COMMUNITY HOUSING TRUST (CHT) IS TO IDENTIFY ORGANIZATIONS IN WASHINGTON, DC, WHO ARE WORKING TO PROVIDE PERMANENT HOUSING SOLUTIONS AND COMMUNITY SERVICES TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. CHT'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE GRANT FUNDING TO ORGANIZATIONS IN NEED OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO ENHANCE THEIR SERVICES. OUR GOAL IS TO PROVIDE FUNDING TO ORGANIZATIONS WHICH ARE SUCCESSFULLY GETTING PEOPLE OFF THE STREET AND FROM TEMPORARY TO PERMANENT HOUSING AND/OR WHICH ARE PROVIDING CASE MANAGEMENT AND SERVICES TO AT-RISK OR CURRENTLY HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES.
