NATIONAL PROGRAMS: INCLUDES THE INITIATIVE TO EDUCATE AND INFORM THE DEBATE ON NATIONAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION POLICY AND TO ADVANCE GREATER INVESTMENT IN THE USE OF TRANSIT, WALKING, BICYCLING AND RAIL, AND TO PROVIDE FOR GREATER COLLABORATION WITH CITIZEN STAKEHOLDERS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF INVESTMENT STRATEGIES, SUPPORTS GREATER ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY IN TRANSPORTATION POLICY AND INFORMATION, UNDERTAKES RESEARCH ON TRANSPORTATION'S IMPACT ON AREAS SUCH AS HEALTH, ENVIRONMENTAL AND NATURAL RESOURCES, EQUITY, THE ECONOMY, ENERGY, AND LAND USE.
THE COALITION SUPPORT PROGRAM INCLUDES PREPARATION OF TRAINING MATERIALS FOR WORKSHOPS; ORGANIZING AND CONDUCTING WORKSHOPS ON OPPORTUNITIES FOR PURSUING OUR REFORM AGENDA USING THE PROVISION OF THE FAST ACT AND CURRENT LAW; ASSISTANCE IN FRAMING THE TRANSPORTATION REFORM MESSAGE AND REFLECTING IT IN ALL COMMUNICATIONS; ENCOURAGING PARTNERSHIPS AMONG CLUSTERS OF INTERESTS (ESP. RAIL) WITHIN THE NETWORK; SEEK FUNDING FOR OUR JOINT PROGRAM INITIATIVES; AND MAINTAINING AND FOSTERING INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS AMONG COALITION SUPPORTERS.
