INSTRUCTION AND SCHOLARSHIPS: MARYWOOD PROVIDED UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE INSTRUCTION TO 2,285 FULL-TIME AND 321 PART-TIME STUDENTS. CONSIDERED A 'LIBERAL ARTS' UNIVERSITY, MARYWOOD HAS THREE DEGREE-GRANTING COLLEGES, AND OFFERS UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES IN 55 ACADEMIC PROGRAMS WHICH INCLUDE ARTS, MUSIC, FINE ARTS, SCIENCES, SOCIAL WORK, ARCHITECTURE, AND NURSING. MARYWOOD IS FULLY ACCREDITED BY THE MIDDLE STATES COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATION. GRADUATE PROGRAMS INCLUDE BIOTECHNOLOGY, CRIMINAL JUSTICE, INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE, EDUCATION, PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT, SOCIAL WORK, PSYCHOLOGY, ATHLETIC TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL WRITING.
RESEARCH AND ACADEMIC SUPPORT: MARYWOOD PROVIDED SERVICES TO SUPPORT THE INSTRUCTIONAL AREAS NOTED ABOVE. THIS INCLUDES LIBRARY, COMPUTER SERVICES, ATHLETICS, HEALTH & FITNESS, TECHNOLOGY, AND ART GALLERIES. FACULTY AND STAFF ARE ENCOURAGED TO SECURE FUNDING FOR VARIOUS RESEARCH PROJECTS FROM FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL SOURCES, AS WELL AS PRIVATE FUNDING AGENCIES.
AUXILIARY SERVICES: MARYWOOD PROVIDED DORMITORY SERVICES TO 704 RESIDENT STUDENTS AND FOOD SERVICES TO RESIDENT STUDENTS, COMMUTER STUDENTS, AND CAMPUS STAFF. MARYWOOD OFFERED FOUR ON-CAMPUS HOUSING OPTIONS AND FOUR DINING VENUES. THE UNIVERSITY ALSO OPERATED A DAY-CARE CENTER WHICH IS AVAILABLE TO FACULTY, STAFF, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
