PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION IS THE VOLUNTARY PROCESS BY WHICH ABGC GRANTS TIME-LIMITED RECOGNITION AND USE OF CREDENTIAL TO INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE MET PREDETERMINED AND STANARDIZED CRITERIA. CERTIFICATION BY THE ABGC INDICATES INDIVIDUAL PRACTITIONERS HAVE MET THE STANDARDS NECESSARY TO PROVIDE COMPETENT GENETIC COUNSELING SERVICES. ABGC SERVES AS THE OFFICIAL CREDENTIALING ORGANIZATION FOR THE GENETIC COUNSELING PROFESSION IN THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA.
ABGC HAS A COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNICATIONS PROGRAM CONTRACT WITH THE KELLEN COMPANY. THE SCOPE OF SERVICES INCLUDED PUBLIC/MEDIA RELATIONS, MARKETING AND ADVERTISING.
