HEPATITIS AND IMMUNIZATION MAHA PROVIDES BILINGUAL EDUCATION FOR HEPATITIS B WITH LOCAL AND REGIONAL PARTNERS. THIS ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES HEPATITIS B SCREENING TO CLIENTS AT COMMUNITY SITES AND DEVELOPS CULTURAL SENSITIVE CURRICULA.
COMMUNITY HEALH NEEDS ASSESSMENT & ASSESS AND CULTURAL COMPETENCY TRAINING PROGRAM (1) SERVICES PROVIDED FOR HELPING COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO ENROLL IN MARKETPLACE HEALTH INSURANCE AND MEDICAID. MAHA OUTREACHES IN COMMUNITY, EDUCATES CONSUMERS, HELPS THEM COMPLETING THE APPLICATIONS, EXPLAINS THE CONCEPT OF HEALTH INSURANCE, HELPS THEM FINDING DOCTORS, AND PROVIDES OTHER SUPPORTS IN UTILIZING THEIR INSURANCE. (2) COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO LOW-INCOME ASIANS AND OTHER MINORITIES WITH MENTAL ILLNESS AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. (3) SERVICES PROVIDED TO PREVENT SUBSTANCE USE AMONG YOUTH (AGE 12-19) IN THE MCKINLEY PARK. (4) A COMMUNITY PARTICIPATORY RESEARCH PROJECT IS CREATED FOR REDUCING MERCURY AND PCB EXPOSURE.
