TO FUND AND SUPPORT PRECEDENT-SETTING LEGAL ISSUES OR LEGAL ISSUES IN DEFENSE OF CONTRACTORS UNDER DIRECT ATTACK. THE LEGAL EFFORTS ARE AIMED AT PRESERVING AND ADVANCING MERIT SHOP CONSTRUCTION PRINCIPLES, WHICH INCLUDE OPEN COMPETITION AND A FREE-ENTERPRISE SYSTEM BASED SOLELY ON MERIT, REGARDLESS OF LABOR AFFILIATION. IN 2021, THE FOUNDATION TRUSTEES APPROVED 23 LEGAL APPLICATIONS.
TO FUND ABC NATIONAL, CHAPTER AND MEMBER EFFORTS TO ENSURE FAIR AND OPEN COMPETITION FOR TAXPAYER FUNDED CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS ISSUE ADVOCACY CAMPAIGNS. IN 2021, THE FOUNDATION TRUSTEES APPROVED 8 ISSUE ADVOCACY APPLICATIONS.
