ADVOCACY - WE WORK TO ENHANCE THE SAFETY AND ACCESSIBILITY OF OUR TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS, INCLUDING THROUGH TRANSIT, WALKING, BICYCLING, AND OTHER MODES; AND WAYS TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT AND AFFORDABILITY OF HOUSING TO ENABLE MORE PEOPLE TO AFFORD TO LIVE IN THE REGION.THE TRANSPORTATION EQUITY NETWORK, A COALITION OF ADVOCACY GROUPS AND DIRECT SERVICE NONPROFITS, ADVOCATED FOR TRANSPORTATION POLICIES THAT ACHIEVE MOBILITY JUSTICE. WE ALSO MANAGED DC SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION, A COALITION OF BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS.
