THE SECOND DISTRICT OF THE OMEGA PSI PHI FRATERNITY, INC.'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE AND PROMOTE PROGRAMS OF SOCIAL, CULTURAL AND ECONOMIC UPLIFT TO THE COMMUNITIES IN THE NY, NJ PA, DE AND MD AREAS. WE PROVIDE MENTORING AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO YOUNG MEN IN COLLEGE IN ORDER TO AID IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF LEADERS FOR ROLES IN HUMAN SERVICE ARENA. THIS MISSION IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH TRAINING PROGRAMS, SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS AND SOCIAL ACTION PROGRAMS CONDUCTED IN THE COMMUNITY.

AWARDED 25 SCHOLARSHIPS RANGING FROM $1,000 UP TO $3,500 TO HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO DISTINGUISHED THEMSELVES AS LEADERS OF TODAY AND WERE EXCELLING TO BE LEADERS OF TOMORROW. THE AWARD IS A YEARLY PROGRAM CONDUCTED ACROSS TO THE SECOND DISTRICT IN THE STATES OF NY, NJ, PA, DE AND MD. TOTAL SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS TOTALED $44,627
AN ANNUAL TALENT HUNT PROGRAM IS FACILITATED TO SHOWCASE THE TALENTS AND SKILLS OF THE AMERICAN YOUTH IN HIGH SCHOOL. THE GOAL OF THE PROGRAM IS TO DISCOVER AND PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO YOUNG PEOPLE WHO POSSESS TALENTS OF OUTSTANDING AND EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY IN THE PERFORMING ARTS. TOTAL AMOUNT AWARDED $16,523.
