THE ASSOCIATION CONDUCTS SEVERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THAT ARE HELD IN THE UNITED STATES, EUROPE, AND ASIA. THE MEETINGS FEATURE SPEAKERS AND OTHER CURRENT MATTERS OF INTEREST AFFECTING INTERNATIONAL REAL ESTATE INVESTMENTS. BECAUSE OF COVID RESTRICTIONS, THE MAJORITY OF OUR EVENTS IN 2021 WERE VIRTUAL. WE HAD A TOTAL OF 819 PEOPLE ATTENDING/VIEWING 20 VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON EVENTS. WE OFFERED COMPLIMENTARY ATTENDANCE FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE VIRTUAL EVENTS.
AS THE OFFICIAL VOICE OF THE FOREIGN REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY IN THE UNITED STATES, THE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTS THE INTERESTS OF INBOUND INVESTMENT FROM 24 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES. THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES AN EXCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT WHERE PRINCIPALS AND SENIOR EXECUTIVES CAN MEET AND EXCHANGE INFORMATION. WE ALSO PROVIDE EXPOSURE TO INFLUENTIAL US POLICY MAKERS AND OPINION LEADERS, UPDATES ON IMPORTANT LEGISLATION AND TAX REGULATIONS, AND INFORMATIVE PUBLICATIONS DEDICATED TO ENSURING THAT THE NON-US INVESTOR IS AS INFORMED AS THE DOMESTIC INVESTOR. THE ASSOCIATION IS GOVERNED SOLELY BY NON-US INVESTOR INSTITUTIONS THROUGH THEIR DESIGNATED DELEGATES AND MANAGED BY A FULL-TIME STAFF IN WASHINGTON, DC.
THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES ACCESS TO THEIR MEMBERS, VIA THE INTERNET, TO THE QUARTERLY PUBLICATION, SUMMIT JOURNAL, FEATURING ARTICLES ON REAL ESTATE INVESTING, MARKET TRENDS, TAX AND LEGAL ISSUES, AND OTHER GERMANE TOPICS. EACH YEAR THE ASSOCIATION PUBLISHES A DIRECTORY OF ITS MEMBERS, WHICH IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO MEMBERS VIA THE MEMBERS ONLY WEBSITE.
