MONTGOMERY COMMUNITY TELEVISION'S MISSION IS TO ENCOURAGE AND SPONSOR TELEVISION PROGRAMMING AND BROADBAND MEDIA THAT MEETS COMMUNITY NEEDS AND OFFER FORUMS FOR FREE EXPRESSION.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
THE CONTENT DEPARTMENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CREATION OF MEDIA INCLUDING VIDEO, PODCASTS, WEBSITE POSTS, AND SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS. THEY PRODUCE NEWS STORIES AND DISSEMINATE INFORMATION OF VITAL INTEREST TO RESIDENTS OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY.
TECHNOLOGY & NETWORK
THE EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (ECE) IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CREATING AND FACILITATING MULTIMEDIA TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR MONTGOMERY COUNTY RESIDENTS, IN SUPPORT OF ORIGINAL CONTENT CREATION AND DISTRIBUTION. ECE MANAGES MEMBER COMMUNICATIONS, VOLUNTEER EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING PROVIDING PRODUCTION SUPPORT FOR PRODUCERS AND TECHNICIANS.
THE PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT OVERSEES DAY-TO-DAY MANAGEMENT OF CREW SCHEDULING, EQUIPMENT, SCRIPTS, AND SET DESIGN IN SUPPORT OF PROVIDING THE COMMUNITY WITH ACCESS TO PRODUCE LOCAL PROGRAMMING ON OUR CHANNELS AND OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS. IN ADDITION TO CREATING CONTENT FOR THE ORGANIZATION, THE PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT IS ALSO AVAILABLE FOR HIRE TO THE COMMUNITY, OFFERING HIGHLY COMPETITIVE RATES FOR MEDIA PRODUCTION.
