CALVERT HOSPICE PROVIDES CARE AND COMFORT SERVICES TO RESIDENTS OF CALVERT COUNTY LIVING WITH A LIFE LIMITING ILLNESS. THESE PALLIATIVE SERVICES REQUIRE A TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS THAT INCLUDES NURSES, SOCIAL WORKERS, BEREAVEMENT COUNSELORS, CLERGY, HOSPICE AIDS AND VOLUNTEERS WHO VISIT PEOPLE IN THEIR HOMES. EACH PERSON AND THEIR SUPPORT SYSTEM ARE ASSESSED FOR THEIR UNIQUE SET OF NEEDS, HOPES AND CHALLENGES. THEN, WORKING IN CONCERT WITH A PRIVATE PHYSICIAN, WE DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A COMPREHENSIVE AND HOLISTIC CARE PLAN TO RELIEVE PHYSICAL SUFFERING AND PROMOTE OPTIMAL LIFE EXPERIENCES EMOTIONALLY, RELATIONALLY, AND SPIRITUALLY DURING THEIR LAST WEEKS AND MONTHS.
