PRIDE EDUCATES THE PUBLIC ON MARYLAND'S MARITIME HISTORY AND COMMERCE OPPORTUNITIES. AS ONE OF THE MOST RECOGNIZED U.S. HISTORICAL SAILING VESSELS, PRIDE II PROMOTES HISTORICAL MARITIME EDUCATION REGARDING BALTIMORE TOPSAIL SCHOONERS AND THEIR CRUCIAL ROLE IN NAVAL INNOVATION, WAR OF 1812, AND THE PENNING OF THE "STAR-SPANGLED BANNER." SERVES AS A UNIQUE LEARNING PLATFORM TO BUILD SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATH (STEM) PROGRAMS AS WELL AS HISTORY, SOCIAL STUDIES, AND ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES.
