FOUR ISSUES OF THE CHRONICLES OF ST MARYS WERE PRODUCED CONTAINING ORIGINAL ARTICLES AND REPRINTS OF OTHER HISTORICAL INFORMATION OF LOCAL INTEREST. EACH ISSUE WAS MAILED TO APPROXIMATELY 600 INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS.
STEWARDSHIP OF HISTORIC TUDOR HALL MANSION, AN 18TH CENTURY HOME THAT SERVES AS THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY'S HEADQUARTERS/MUSEUM AND HOME TO THE ARCHIVES AND RESEARCH CENTER.
PRESERVATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE HISTORIC ARCHIVES OF ST. MARY'S COUNTY, MD. THE ARCHIVES ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FREE OF CHARGE FOR INDIVIDUAL RESEARCH. VOLUNTEER RESEARCHERS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE TO ASSIST VISITORS AND PROVIDE RESEARCH SERVICES TO MEMBERS AND OTHERS FOR A NOMINAL FEE.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC, INCLUDING "HISTORICALLY SPEAKING" A SERIES OF LECTURES PRODUCED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SMCM CENTER FOR DEMOCRACY. THE PROGRAM IS FUNDED IN PART BY A SEED GRANT FROM THE TRI COUNTY COUNCIL OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND.
