THE ASSOCIATION IS DEDICATED TO SERVE AS THE LOCAL VOICE IN THE PROMOTION AND ENHANCEMENT OF THE TAHOE CITY COMMUNITY AND ITS BUSINESSES AND TO MAINTAIN A VIBRANT AND PROSPEROUS PLACE TO LIVE, WORK, PLAY AND VISIT.

PROMOTION - THE ASSOCIATION ONCE AGAIN CANCELLED THE FOOD & WINE CLASSIC, 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS SHOW, AND OKTOBERFEST DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC. THE ORGANIZATION SHIFTED TO A SOCIALLY DISTANCED SOLSTICE GOLF TOURNAMENT AND HELD 4 LATE SUMMER CONCERTS ON THE BEACH. RESOURCES WERE SHARED ON STATE AND LOCAL GUIDELINES, FUNDING FOR SMALL BUSINESSES WERE COMMUNICATED AND PPE WAS DISTRIBUTED, AGAIN REGARDING THE PANDEMIC. IN ADDITION THE ASSOCIATION CONTINUED UPDATES ON THE ORGANIZATIONS WEBSITES - VISITTAHOECITY.ORG, AND CONCERTSATCOMMONSBEACH.COM. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO COORDINATED DOWNTOWN BEAUTIFICATION PROJECTS INCLUDING HOLIDAY LIGHTING ON LAMPPOSTS AND TREES, AND HANGING FLOWER BASKETS IN THE SUMMER.
