THE ROUGHRIDERS HOSTED ONLINE AUCTIONS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THE AUCTION ITEMS CONSISTED OF A WIDE VARIETY OF ITEMS, INCLUDING GIFT BAGS, AUTOGRAPHED BASEBALLS, BATTING HELMETS, AND SO MUCH MORE. THE NET PROCEEDS FROM THE AUCTIONS BENEFITED LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.
THE FOUNDATION WAS SEVERLY HAMPERED IN 2020, IN CONNECTION WITH ITS OTHER PRIOR YEARS' PROGRAM SERVICES, DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. NO ADDITIONAL EVENTS WERE ABLE TO BE HELD, DUE TO THE PROTOCOLS THAT WERE IN EFFECT.
THE ROUGHRIDERS ALSO RECOGNIZED OUTSTANDING NORTH TEXAS SCHOOL TEACHERS FOR THEIR DEDICATION AND SERVICE. THERE WERE A TOTAL OF FIVE(5) TEACHERS SELECTED FOR THEIR FANTASTIC WORK AND SERVICE TO THE STUDENTS WITH WHOM THEY CAME IN CONTACT. EACH RECIPIENT RECEIVED A $500 DONATION IN THEIR NAME ($250 TO THE TEACHER'S SCHOOL/CLASSROOM, AND $250 TO THEIR SCHOOL DISTRICT EDUCATION FOUNDATION).
