THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF TELEVISION ARTS AND SCIENCES - MID-AMERICA CHAPTER IS A PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION DEDICATED TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF TELEVISION AND RELATED ELECTRONIC MEDIA AND BEST KNOWN FOR ITS EMMY AWARDS THAT RECOGNIZE EXCELLENCE IN A NUMBER OF CATEGORIES. THE ACADEMY ALSO SPONSORS PROGRAMS, SEMINARS, AND SCHOLARSHIPS FOR HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGES IN CITIES SERVED BY THE 19 LOCAL CHAPTERS. IN ADDITION, THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION, THROUGH ITS NON-PROFIT FOUNDATION, AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO OUTSTANDING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS AND COLLEGE UNDERGRADUATES WHO INTEND TO PURSUE A BACCALAUREATE DEGREE IN COMMUNICATIONS WITH EMPHASIS ON ANY ASPECT OF THE TELEVISION INDUSTRY.

THE ORGANIZATION ENCOURAGES AND HONORS EXCELLENCE IN TELEVISION ARTS AND SCIENCES THRU PRESENTING THE REGIONAL EMMY AWARDS, SILVER AND GOLD CIRCLE AWARDS, THE GOVERNOR'S AWARD, AS WELL AS DEVELOPING SOCIAL EVENTS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. IN 2023, AT THE IN-PERSON EMMY GALA AND DINNER THE CHAPTER INDUCTED THREE HONOREES IN THE PRESTIGIOUS SILVER CIRCLE. WE ALSO HOSTED A SPECIAL STAND-ALONE GOLD AND SILVER CIRCLE INDUCTION DINNER IN LITTLE ROCK WHERE 4 BROADCASTING LEGENDS WERE INDUCTED IN GOLD CIRCLE (50+ YEARS) AND FOUR IN SILVER CIRCLE (25+). WE ALSO SPONSORED STUDENT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS.
