COASTAL CONSERVATION WORK: THE ALABAMA COASTAL BIRD STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM PROVIDES CRITICAL MONITORING AND STEWARDSHIP FOR COASTAL BIRDS ON THE BEACHES OF BALDWIN AND MOBILE COUNTIES.


SCIENCE AND CONSERVATION - SCIENCE AND CONSERVATION PROJECTS IMPLEMENTED BY STAFF, PARTNERS, AND VOLUNTEERS, INCLUDING COASTAL BIRD-BANDING RESEARCH, ALABAMA SWIFTWATCH, THE AUDUBON-DATNOW FOREST PRESERVE PROJECT, AND SUPPORT FOR GRADUATE RESEARCH INTO TOPICS OF CONSERVATION CONCERN IN ALABAMA.


OUTREACH - ADULT COURSES, FIELD TRIPS, PUBLIC TALKS, AND OTHER PROGRAMS.


BLACK BELT BIRDING - WORKS TO BRING THE ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS OF BIRD-BASED ECOTOURISM TO ONE OF THE COUNTRY'S MOST ECONOMICALLY CHALLENGED RURAL AREAS. THROUGH FIELD TRIPS, SPECIAL EVENTS, RESEARCH PARTNERSHIPS, AND NATIONAL OUTREACH, WE'RE LEVERAGING OUR ORGANIZATION'S EXPERT STAFF AND STATEWIDE REACH TO MAKE A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE FOR THE BLACK BELT'S BIRDS AND THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THEM.
