OUR MISSION IS TO PROMOTE ECOLOGICAL TOURISM AND EDUCATION BY PROVIDING A CONVENIENT POINT OF ENTRY INTO THE OKEFENOKEE SWAMP-AN AUTHENTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR THE PUBLIC TO LEARN ABOUT THE WILDLIFE, CULTURE, AND NATURAL BEAUTY OF THE "LAND OF THE TREMBLING EARTH".

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES AND MAINTAINS A BROADLY BASED PROGRAM CONSISTING OF: GUIDED BOAT EXCURSIONS INTO THE SWAMP LECTURES FIXED, ANIMATED AND LIVE EXHIBITS EXTENSIVE IN-SWAMP BOARDWALKS A GUIDED TRAIN TOUR OF TYPICAL SWAMP AREAS ALL PRESENTING AND INTERPRETING THE UNIQUE NATURE OF THE OKEFENOKEE SWAMP--ITS PLANT, ANIMAL AND REPTILE INHABITANTS AND ITS EVOLUTION. DURING 2021, 101,971 ADULTS AND CHILDREN VISITED THE PARK. ALSO, MANY STUDENTS AND THEIR TEACHERS WITH AN INSTRUCTOR GUIDE VISITED ON EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIPS.
