SEE SCHEDULE O.ALLIANCE FRANCAISE OF MINNEAPOLIS AND ST. PAUL, AN INDEPENDENT CHAPTER OF A WORLDWIDE ORGANIZATION, IS TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY BY PROMOTING THE USE AND APPRECIATION OF FRENCH LANGUAGE AND CULTURES THROUGH LANGUAGE CLASSES, CULTURAL PROGRAMS, SOCIAL EVENTS AND INFORMATION RESOURCES.

SEE SCHEDULE O.LANGUAGE CLASSES-ENROLLMENT IN FRENCH LANGUAGE CLASSES IN FISCAL YEAR 2022 TOTALED 1,051 AT THE AFMSP CENTER FOR BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS. ADDITIONALLY, FRENCH CLASSES WERE OFFERED OFF-SITE IN SCHOOLS AND BUSINESSES. ADDITIONALLY, PRIVATE TUTORING LESSONS ACCOUNTED FOR 105 STUDENTS. CULTURAL EVENTS -OVER 3,000 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE 149 CULTURAL EVENTS ORGANIZED BY AFMSP IN FISCAL YEAR 2022. THE LARGEST ATTENDANCE WAS THE BASTILLE DAY CELEBRATION ON JULY 14, 2021 WHICH HAD OVER 1,000 ATTENDEES. APPROXIMATELY 350 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN THE MONTH-LONG CELEBRATION OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO IN MARCH 2022 AND AN ADDITIONAL 300 GUESTS JOINED THE BREIZH FEST IN MAY 2022. OTHER EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR INCLUDED FILMS IN FRENCH WITH THE CIN CLUB, A MONTHLY P'TIT DEJ CONVERSATION GROUP, BOOK CLUBS AND MORE. LIBRARY-THE AFMSP LIBRARY OFFERS 6,369 BOOKS AND FILMS FOR MEMBERS TO BORROW. THIS YEAR, CIRCULATION FROM THE AFMSP LIBRARY TOTALED 928 TRANSACTIONS. AN ADDITION TO THAT, 331 AFMSP MEMBERS USE CULTURETHQUE, AN ONLINE LIBRARY.
