EPIDEMIOLOGY: ASSIST TRIBAL COMMUNITIES WITH EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THEIR HEALTH THROUGH EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN THE AREAS OF HIV, HEPATITIS, VACCINATIONS, AND OPIOID USE/ADDITION. THIS DEPARTMENT WORKS WITH 34 TRIBES ACROSS THE STATES OF WISCONSIN, MINNESOTA, AND MICHIGAN; AND THE CHICAGO AREA.


FAMILY HEALTH: ASSIST FAMILIES, WHO RESIDE ON OR WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF THERE TRIBE, TO MAKE BETTER AND/OR HEALTHY LIFE CHOICES. THIS INCLUDES WAYS TO QUIT COMMERCIAL TOBACCO, PREVENTING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, PROMOTING CHILD SAFETY, AND THE OVERALL HELP FOR THE FAMILY TO BE SELF-SUFFICIENT.


AGING AND DISABILITY:- ASSIST TRIBAL MEMBERS WHO ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER, WHO HAVE A PHYSICAL, MENTAL, OR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY, OBTAIN BENEFITS SUCH AS SSI, SSDI, MEDICAID, MEDICARE, FOOD SHARE, AND/OR VETERAN BENEFITS. - RECRUIT TRIBAL ELDERS AS VOLUNTEERS TO ACT AS MENTORS OR COMPANIONS TO YOUTH AND OTHER ELDERS.
