CENTRO ALSO SERVES AS A CENTER FOR INFORMATION AND REFERRALS TO OTHER COMMUNITY RESOURCES.

VOCA PROGRAM: IN ADDITION TO DIRECT SERVICES TO VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, INCLUDING CHILDREN EXPOSED TO VIOLENCE AT HOME, CENTRO IS PROVIDING SERVICES TO CHILDREN WHO HAVE SUFFERED CHILD ABUSE AND BULLYING. HATE CRIMES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PHYSICAL ASSAULT DUE TO DISCRIMINATION BASED ON VICTIM'S NATIONAL ORIGIN OR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS, ARE ALSO A FOCUS OF THE PROGRAM. STAFF SERVED A TOTAL OF 132 VICTIMS LAST YEAR.
LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION PROGRAM AT ST JOSEPH HOSPITAL, WOMEN'S CENTER: CERTIFIED MEDICAL INTERPRETERS PROVIDE LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION BETWEEN PROVIDERS AND CLIENTS WHO ARE PREGNANT, AND COORDINATE MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS FOR MORE THAN 60 CLIENTS A MONTH.
MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM: THROUGH CLINICAL COUNSELING, CMLF WORKS TO ENSURE A HOLISTIC PROCESS OF CHANGE WHERE CLIENTS AND SIGNIFICANT OTHERS CAN LEARN TO OVERCOME AND MANAGE THEIR DIAGNOSED SYMPTOMS AND CONDITIONS IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THEIR OVERALL WELLBEING AND QUALITY OF LIFE. CLINICAL COUNSELORS PROVIDE AN APPROPRIATE LEVEL AND INTENSITY OF SUPPORT AND TREATMENT, AND RECOGNIZE INDIVIDUAL STRENGTHS TO ULTIMATELY EMPHASIZE PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTE RECOVERY, RESILIENCE AND WELLNESS.
