UNITED WAY OF MCPHERSON COUNTY IS DEDICATED TO BUILDING A STRONGER COMMUNITY BY ADDRESSING ISSUES RELATED TO EDUCATION, HEALTH, AND INCOME. UNITED WAY OF MCPHERSON COUNTY TOOK A LEADERSHIP ROLE IN CONFRONTING THE EFFECTS OF THE PANDEMIC THROUGH THE COMMUNITY RESPONSE AND RECOVERY FUND. DOZENS OF MCPHERSON COUNTY HOUSEHOLDS AFFECTED ECONOMICALLY BY COVID-19 RECEIVED RENT AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE. UNITED WAY ALSO HELPED PROVIDE SAFE, AFFORDABLE HOUSING TO PEOPLE FACING THE PROSPECT OF HOMELESSNESS, AND SUPPORTED PROGRAMS TO IMPROVE CHILDHOOD LITERACY TO INCREASE THEIR CHANCES OF SUCCESS IN SCHOOL.
