Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE FOR LOW-INCOME, UNINSURED RESIDENTS OF SHAWNEE COUNTY, KANSAS; TO COORDINATE DONATED PHYSICIAN CARE, HOSPITAL SERVICES, DENTAL CARE, AND MEDICATION ASSISTANCE TO COMPLIMENT AND ENHANCE THE WORK OF LOW-INCOME CLINICS AND OTHER COMMUNITY HEALTH AGENCIES; TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR PHYSICIANS, HOSPITALS, LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND COMMUNITY AGENCIES TO PROVIDE MEDICAL CARE FOR THE LOW-INCOME, UNINSURED; TO ENCOURAGE PHYSICIANS, NURSES, CHURCHES, PHARMACISTS, AND OTHERS TO VOLUNTEER THEIR SERVICES TO THE LOW-INCOME, UNINSURED CITIZENS OF THE COMMUNITY; ADVOCATE FOR FAIR AND APPROPRIATE ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE AND RELATED SERVICES FOR UNINSURED AND LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS; TO IMPROVE COMMUNITY HEALTH, INCLUDING HEALTH EDUCATION, DISEASE PREVENTION, AND MEDICAL PREVENTION; THE PROMOTION OF PERSONAL AND CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY FOR INDIVIDUAL AND COMMUNITY HEALTH; FACILITATE THE PLANNING OF HEALTH CARE AND COORDINATION BETWEEN HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS; AND SERVE AS A PUBLIC FORUM THROUGH WHICH HEALTH CARE ISSUES MAY BE DISCUSSED BY INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS.
