TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND OTHER SERVICES TO CHRONICALLY MENTALLY ILL PERSONS BY OPERATING A TEN (10) UNIT APARTMENT PROJECT LOCATED IN DODGE CITY, KANSAS. THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 811 OF THE NATIONAL AFFORDABLE HOUSING ACT, IN ACCORDANCE WITH REGULATIONS MONITORED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT. TO ASSIST IN FUNDING OPERATIONS, THE ORGANIZATION HAS A SECTION 8 PROJECT RENTAL ASSISTANCE CONTRACT WITH HUD TO PROVIDE SUBSIDIZED RENTAL ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS.
