PROVIDING JOHNSON COUNTY, KANSAS A BUSINESS INCUBATOR PROGRAM TARGETING INDUSTRIES INVOLVED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES AND OTHER START-UP COMPANIES, THE ENTERPRISE CENTER OF JOHNSON COUNTY (ECJC) IS A HUB OF ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTIVITY WITH THE WOMEN'S BUSINESS CENTER, THE MID- AMERICA ANGELS AND THE WOMEN'S CAPITAL CONNECTION INVESTMENT NETWORKS, AND THE GROWTH MENTORING SERVICE AND LAUNCHU PROGRAMS. ECJC IS A VALUABLE RESOURCE IN HELPING ENTREPRENEURS AND START-UPS NAVIGATE THE MANY RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO HELP THEM GROW THEIR BUSINESSES.
THROUGH THE JOHNSON COUNTY GOVERNMENT, ECJC WAS A RECIPIENT OF FEDERAL PANDEMIC DOLLARS TO PASS TO BUSINESSES IN JOHNSON COUNTY RECOVERING FROM THE ECONOMIC EFFECTS OF THE PANDEMIC. GRANT DOLLARS WERE ALSO AWARDED FOR CHILDCARE BUSINESSES IN ORDER TO EXPAND AND CREATE MORE CHILDCARE PLACES IN JOHNSON COUNTY. OVER 230 GRANTS WERE GIVEN OUT TO ASSIST SMALL BUSINESSES IN PADEMIC RECOVERY.
