BALLARD CENTER'S EARLY EDUCATION PROGRAM HAS A CAPACITY OF 48 KIDS. 48 BOYS AND GIRLS THAT WILL GROW UP MORE LIKELY TO GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL, HOLD A JOB, AND OWN A HOME THAN IF THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN A PRESCHOOL PROGRAM. EACH TIME A NEW BOY OR GIRL WALKS THROUGH THE DOORS OF THE BALLARD CENTER TO ATTEND ITS PRESCHOOL, THE LIKLIHOOD OF THAT CHILD BECOMING AN ADULT WITH A MORE STABLE AND SUCCESSFUL ADULT LIFE HAS INCREASED. IN 2021, 182 FAMILIES RECEIVED CHRISTMAS GIFTS AND 1,188 FAMILY MEMBERS RECEIVED WRAP-AROUND SUPPORT SERVICES. WE DO NOT JUST CARE FOR THE CHILDREN ATTENDING OUR CENTER - WE SUPPORT THE CHILD'S PARENTS AND SIBLINGS; 3,400 DOUGLAS COUNTY COMMUNITY MEMBERS RECEIVED FOOD, CLOTHING, PERSONAL CARE ITEMS AND DIAPERS; MORE THAN 2,500 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED FOOD AT MOBILE FOOD PANTRY DISTRIBUTIONS.
