IN THE 2020-2021 FISCAL YEAR, CARLA CONTINUED TO PROVIDE FREE LEGAL AID, EDUCATION, COUNSELING, AND SUPPORT TO INQUIRIES ACROSS CALIFORNIA. ONE-HUNDRED-SEVEN CASES OF PEOPLE REACHING OUT WERE RESOLVED AND INCLUDED 16 REGARDING STATE LAW OR POSSIBLE CITY VIOLATIONS, 56 REQUESTING ADU ASSISTANCE, AND 30 REQUESTING ASSISTANCE WITH MULTIFAMILY PROJECTS TOTALING NEARLY 3600 NEW HOMES. IN FY 202, CARLA ALSO CONTINUED ITS HOUSING IMPACT LITIGATION. IT CONTINUED ITS RECENTLY FILED SUIT AGAINST HUNTINGTON BEACH IN THE TRIAL COURT AND MOVED TO THE CALIFORNIA COURT OF APPEAL IN ITS CASE AGAINST SAN MATEO.
