EVERY YEAR HUNDREDS OF ANIMALS ARE RESCUED, MEDICALLY TREATED AND PLACED. PET ADOPTION EVENTS ARE HELD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, AS WELL AS OVER 4,000 PHONE CALLS WERE ANSWERED AND RESPONDED TO REGARDING FERAL CATS, STAYS, UNWANTED LITTER AND PROBLEM PETS. THE ORGANIZATION TRAINS OVER 90 VOLUNTEERS, BOTH ADULTS WHO OFTEN BECAME LONG TERM VOLUNTEERS, AND STUDENTS WHO ARE WORKING ON COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAMS. ALL VOLUNTEERS HELP WITH SOCIALIZING CATS, TAKING CARE OF IN-HOUSE ANIMALS AND WORKING WITH POTENTIAL ADOPTERS. ADDITIONALLY, VOUCHERS ARE PROVIDED TO HELP LOW INCOME PEOPLE WHO TAKE CARE OF THE COMMUNITY CAT COLONIES. OVER 1,000 FERAL CATS, OWNED CATS AND DOGS ARE SPAYED OR NEUTERED EACH YEAR.THE ORGANIZATION IS COMMITTED TO SUPPORT THE CITY SHELTERS IN TAKING IN BADLY INJURED ANIMALS WHO WITH OUT MEDICAL HELP WOULD HAVE EUTHANIZED. THOUSANDS OF HOURS OF VOLUNTEER TIME IS DONATED ANNUALLY AND INCLUDING SEVERAL FOOD DRIVES.
