SHORT FILM COMPETITION: THE FESTIVAL PRESENTED 62 SHORT FILMS IN COMPETITION FOR A GRAND PRIZE. IN 2021 WE CONDUCTED THIS VIA AN ONLINE EVENT PLATFORM, WITH FEES PAYABLE FOR INGESTING DIGITAL CONTENT ONTO THE PLATFORM SERVICES, AND PAYING A FEE FOR EACH TIME THE FILM WAS VIEWED BY OUR AUDIENCE. REVENUE FROM PASSES WAS ALLOCATED 50% TO THIS PROGRAM SERVICE. REVENUE OF $50 CAME FROM SUBMISSION FEES PAID VIA A VIDEO SUBMISSION PLATFORM. THE SHORT FILMS WERE NOT PRESENTED IN-PERSON DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC.
PRESENTATION OF FEATURE FILMS: THE FESTIVAL PRESENTED A FEATURE FILM "IF LOOKS COULD KILL" FOLLOWED BY A PANEL DISCUSSION WITH THE FILM'S STAR RICHARD GRIECO VIA ONLINE CONFERENCING. THE EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROGRAM ARE THE PERFORMANCE LICENSE FEE, AND DIGITIZATION OF THE FILM FOR PRESENTATION ON THE ONLINE EVENT PLATFORM. REVENUE FROM PASSES WAS ALLOCATED 50% TO THIS PROGRAM SERVICE. THE ONLINE PRESENTATION WAS ORGANIZED, INSTEAD OF IN-PERSON VIEWING DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC.
OPENING NIGHT RECEPTION THE FESTIVAL HOSTED AN OPENING NIGHT KICKOFF VIA FACEBOOK LIVE AT NO COST WHICH GENERATED NO REVENUE. IN PAST YEARS THE OPENING NIGHT WOULD INCLUDE IN-PERSON RECEPTION WITH LIVE MUSIC AND CATERED FOOD AND BAR. THE IN-PERSON RECEPTION WAS NOT ORGANIZED DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC.
