ADVANCE THE IMAGE OF PITTSBURGH AS AMERICA'S MODEL FOR "PROGRESS IN DIVERSITY" BY PERPETUATING INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL HERITAGE THROUGH PERFORMANCE & FOLK ARTS PROGRAMS FOR THE COMMUNITY & THE COUNTRY.

TO CONNECT LOCAL AUDIENCES WITH CULTURE THROUGH FOLK PERFORMANCES. IN ITS 84TH SEASON IT PERFORMED 39 SHOWS AND HAD APPROXIMATELY 18,000 ATTENDEES. THE GROUP IS COMPOSED OF APPROXIMATELY 25 TALENTED, DEDICATED COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO SHARE THEIR LOVE AND APPRECIATION FOR FOLK TRADITION AND CULTURE. THEY UPHOLD THE TRADITION AND PRIDE OF BEING THE LONGEST RUNNING LIVE STAGE PRODUCTION IN THE COUNTRY WITH FRESH FOLK ADAPTATIONS EACH YEAR.
