IN 2023, POWER FOR PARKINSON'S CELEBRATED ITS 10TH ANNIVERSARY--A MILESTONE THAT MARKED ANOTHER YEAR OF SIGNIFICANT GROWTH AND IMPACT, BOTH LOCALLY AND GLOBALLY.LOCALLY, WE EXPANDED OUR REACH BYTRAINING A NEW INSTRUCTOR AND LAUNCHING A NEW CLASS LOCATION IN GEORGETOWN, TEXAS. THIS COMMUNITY QUICKLY BECAME ONE OF OUR MOST POPULAR CLASSES. ADDITIONALLY, RESPONDING TO COMMUNITY REQUESTS, WE PARTNERED WITH THE TOWN LAKE YMCA TO INTRODUCE A STANDING WARRIOR CLASS, OFFERING A MORE INTENSIVE OPTION FOR THOSE SEEKING AN EXTRA CHALLENGE. ALONGSIDE OUR WEEKLY CLASSES, WE HOSTED SEVERAL SPECIAL EVENTS AND WORKSHOPS TO ENCOURAGE PARTICIPANTS TO STAY ACTIVE IN NEW WAYS, SUCHAS OUR ANNUAL TANGO WORKSHOP, "ROCK 'N ROLL DANCE," "GET UP OFF THE FLOOR WITH EASE, AND "ART FOR STRESS REDUCTION." EACH EVENT NOT ONLY ENGAGED PARTICIPANTS BUT ALSO INSPIRED NEW CONNECTIONS WITHIN OURCOMMUNITY.GLOBALLY, OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL HAS BECOME A VALUABLE RESOURCE IN THE PARKINSON'S FITNESS SPACE. BY CREATING SYMPTOM-TARGETED VIDEOS, WE'RE HELPING PEOPLE WORLDWIDE STAY ACTIVE AND ENGAGED. WITH EXERCISEPROVEN TO DELAY OR EVEN REVERSE PARKINSON'S SYMPTOMS, THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY IS INCREASINGLY RECOMMENDING TARGETED PROGRAMS LIKE OURS. IN 2023, WE RELEASED 3-5 NEW VIDEOS WEEKLY, ALLOWING PARTICIPANTS FROM OVER 100 COUNTRIES TO BENEFIT FROM 150+ SYMPTOM-FOCUSED EXERCISE CLASSES. THESE VIRTUAL CLASSES WERE VIEWED OVER 1.5 MILLION TIMES IN JUST ONE YEAR, SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS WHERE IN-PERSON OPTIONS MAY BE LIMITED.WE RECEIVED INCREDIBLE FEEDBACK IN 2023, WITH NUMEROUS COMMENTS AND EMAILS FROM OUR GLOBAL COMMUNITY. RESPONDING TO A GROWING DEMAND, WE LAUNCHED OUR FIRST INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COURSE, "INTRODUCTION TO PARKINSON'S SYMPTOM-FOCUSED EXERCISE," TO EMPOWER OTHERS TO LEAD CLASSES THAT ADDRESS PARKINSON'S SYMPTOMS. THIS INITIATIVE REFLECTS THE INCREASING NEED FOR SPECIALIZED EXERCISE OPTIONS, AS OVER 10 MILLION PEOPLE WORLDWIDE ARE LIVING WITH PARKINSON'S DISEASE.LASTLY, WE WERE HONORED TO BRING OUR WORK TO THE WORLD STAGE AT THE WORLD PARKINSON'S CONGRESS IN BARCELONA.
