STEM PROGRAMS: WORKING THROUGH PARTNERS AND AFTERSCHOOL/SUMMER PROGRAMS, THE STEM2 HUB WORKS TO INFUSE HIGH QUALITY AFTERSCHOOL LEARNING THAT IS RICH IN EXPOSURE TO STEM EXPERIENCES INCLUDING ROBOTICS, WEB KREWES, AND COMPUTER SCIENCE/CODING, INCLUDING PROVIDING STUDENTS WITH ACCESS TO COMPUTERS AND CLOSING THE DIGITAL DIVIDE.


COMPUTER SCIENCE PROGRAMS: THE STEM2 HUB WORKS TO DEVELOP TEACHER CAPACITY TO PROVIDE INSTRUCTION TO STUDENTS BY DEVELOPING TEACHERS WHO ARE PREPARED TO TEACH COMPUTER SCIENCE CONTENT AT THE INTRODUCTORY LEVEL IN GRADES K-12. THIS INCLUDES BUILDING CAPACITY FOR STRONG COMPUTER SCIENCE CONTENT AND THE CONCEPTUAL MATH CONCEPTS THAT SUPPORT COMPUTATIONAL THINKING.


ROBOTICS: THE STEM2 HUB WORKS WITH SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND PARTNERS TO INFUSE STEM EXPERIENCES INTO THE SCHOOL DAY BY WORKING WITH MEDIA SPECIALISTS, STEM SPECIALISTS, SCIENCE AND MATH TEACHERS, AND CAREER/TECHNICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS ACROSS A VARIETY OF INSTRUCTIONAL SETTINGS. THE INFUSION OF ROBOTICS THROUGH THE LEGO FIRST PROGRAM INCLUDES ROBOT CONSTRUCTION AND COMPETITION.
