TERRAMICA WORKS TO STABILIZE VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES IN CENTRAL AMERICA AND WEST AFRICA, TO CULTIVATE HOPE FOR A VIABLE FUTURE, AND CREATE A BETTER LOCAL LIFE THROUGH MEANINGFUL EDUCATION AND IMPACTFUL PROJECTS. WE ARE A HUMANITARIAN AID ORGANIZATION THAT EXECUTES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WORK WITH THE GOAL OF ESTABLISHING DIGNITY AND STABILITY FOR IMPOVERISHED FAMILIES. IN 2021, TERRAMICA PROVIDED OUR COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM FOR IMPOVERISHED FAMILIES AND ESTABLISHED THE MY HEALTHY HOME PROGRAM THROUGHOUT HONDURAS. IN ADDITION, WE BEGAN WORKING IN THE AFRICAN ISLAND NATION OF SAO TOME E PRINCIPE WITH A NUMBER OF PROGRAMS. CURRICULUM IS CURRENTLY BEING DEVELOPED SPECIFICALLY FOR THAT COUNTRY:MY HEALTHY HOME PROGRAM: 1. EQUIP AND TRAIN IMPOVERISHED FAMILIES ON HOW TO CHANGE GENERATIONAL BEHAVIORS IN THE ARENAS OF PHYSICAL HEALTH, RELATIONSHIPS, FAITH, AND THEIR ENVIRONMENT THROUGH OUR EDUCATIONAL CURRICULUM. 2. REBUILD THE PHYSICAL HOME ENVIRONMENT TO A HEALTHY AND SAFE STATUSIN ADDITION TO BUILDING AND/OR IMPROVING THE PHYSICAL HOUSEHOLD INFRASTRUCTURE, TERRAMICA PROVIDES A LOCAL FACILITATORLED TRAINING PROGRAM FOR FARMING FAMILIES IN COFFEE GROWING REGIONS. THIS TRAINING PROGRAM FOCUSES ON MODIFYING ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIORS AROUND PERSONAL, FAMILY, FAITH, AND ENVIRONMENTAL WELLBEING, INCLUDING DISEASE PREVENTION STRATEGIES AND MANAGEMENT OF HOUSEHOLD AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES, LEADING TO AN IMPROVED OUTLOOK ON LIFE, IN ADDITION TO PERSONAL, FAMILY, AND COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION. THIS HIGHLY EFFECTIVE FAMILY TRAINING PROGRAM IS BEING TAUGHT IN MULTIPLE COMMUNITIES IN HONDURAS ON AN ONGOING BASIS.WE BUILT PILA WATER TANKS, CEMENT FLOORS, ROOFS WERE INSTALLED, AND WE BEGAN OUR TRAINING PROGRAM WITHFAMILIES, ALL IMPACTING 11 COMMUNITIES AND ABOUT 3,300 PEOPLE IN CENTRAL AMERICA.TERRAMICA ESTABLISHED A POWERFUL PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEADERS IN INTIBUCA, HONDURAS FOR A SIGNIFICANT EXPANSION OF OUR MY HEALTHY HOME PROGRAM THROUGHOUT HONDURAS IN 2021, WITH A GOAL OF REACHING AN ADDITIONAL 4,000 PEOPLE.IN 2021, WE ESTABLISHED PARTNERS IN SAO TOME E PRINCIPE, HAVE BEGUN WORKING THERE WITH SEVERAL PROGRAMS, AND HAVE BEGUN DEVELOPING A NEW VERSION OF OUR MY HEALTHY HOME CURRICULUM SPECIFICALLY FOR THE SAO TOME CULTURE AND ISSUES. THIS CURRICULUM SHOULD BE READY TO BE UTILIZED IN 2022. WE HAVE ALSO BEGUN WORK WITH PARTNERS IN ESTABLISHING A STRATEGY FOR EXPANSION OF OUR PROGRAM INTO SOUTHERN MEXICO IN 2022/2023.
