THE NIH-FUNDED REVERSING IMMUNE DEFICIENCY TO CURE HIV (RID-HIV) COLLABORARY NAMED HARP-PS AS ITS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PARTNER, AND JEFF TAYLOR ITS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR. HARP-PS IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CREATING A COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD TO GUIDE THE RESEARCH AND CONDUCT COMMUNITY OUTREACH & EDUCATION. IN OCTOBER 2022 WE HELD THE FIRST ANNUAL TIMOTHY RAY BROWN COMMUNITY CURE SYMPOSIUM TO HONOR THE FIRST PERSON CURED OF HIV, AND FEATURED AS ITS KEYNOTE SPEAKER "LONDON PATIENT" ADAM CASTILLEJO--THE SECOND KNOWN PERSON CURED OF HIV.


AGING POSITIVELY: REUNION PROJECT EVENT: AN ALL- DAY EVENT THAT WAS IN- PERSON FOR 2022. AS IN PAST YEARS, WE FEATURED CONTENT TO HELP OLDER PLH THRIVE AS THEY GROW OLDER, AND OUR KEYNOTE SPEAKER WAS DESIGNER JACK MACKENROTH FROM PROJECT RUNWAY.


VIRTUAL VILLAGE: AS PART OF A 2 YEAR RESEARCH COLLABORATION WITH UC RIVERSIDE, USC, AND UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA BEGINNING IN 2021, WE WORKED WITH A BOARD OF COMMUNITY ADVISORS ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO DEVELOP A PILOT ONLINE PLATFORM DESIGNED TO HELP ADDRESS THE ISOLATION, LONELINESS, AND DEPRESSION ASSOCIATED WITH GROWING OLDER WITH HIV, WHICH OF COURSE WAS EXACERBATED BY THE COVID PANDEMIC. THIS CULMINATED IN A PILOT OF THE VIRTUAL VILLAGE BASED ON THE PRIOR RESEARCH, WHICH COMPLETED THE PROJECT IN DECEMBER, 2022
