TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS THAT FOCUS ON THE TRANSFORMATION OF LIVES THROUGH MUSIC WITH A FOCUS ON MAKING MUSIC ACCESSIBLE TO ALL PEOPLE WITHOUT REGARD TO THEIR SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS. THROUGH PROVIDING FREE OR LOW-COST OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE YOUNG AND UNDERSERVED POPULATION IN COMMUNITIES, SUCH AS MASTERCLASSES, PERFORMANCES, WORKSHOPS AND INFORMATION SESSIONS, ELEVAR IS ABLE TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND PROMOTE CLASSICAL MUSIC TO ALL SEGMENTS OF SOCIETY. THROUGH PARTNERING WITH FOR-PROFIT ENTITIES, THE FOUNDATION MATCHES UNDER-PRIVILEGED YOUTH WITH THE NEEDED RESOURCES TO PURSUE MUSIC AND ENHANCE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE. SINCE IT'S INAUGURAL COMPETITION IN 2017, THE ELMAR OLIVEIRA INTERNATIONAL VIOLIN COMPETITION HAS SUPPORTED AND NURTURED ITS FIRST-PRIZE WINNER THROUGH CONTRACTED CONCERT ENGAGEMENTS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES; CREATED AND MANAGED HER WEBSITE; ACTED AS HER LIAISON WITH THE MEDIA; AND ARRANGED COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES. IN ADDITION, THE ELMAR OLIVEIRA INTERNATIONAL VIOLIN COMPETITION CONTINUES TO PREPARE FOR THE NEXT COMPETITION AND BUILD RELATIONSHIPS IN THE COMMUNITY.
ELEVAR IS VERY ACTIVE IN THE COMMUNITY, PROVIDING PERFORMANCES FREE OF CHARGE AT ALZHEIMER'S CARE CENTERS, HOSPITALS, TITLE 1 SCHOOLS IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES. ADDITIONALLY, OUR LAUREATES FREQUENTLY GIVE FREE LESSONS AND MASTERCLASSES TO VIOLIN STUDENTS EITHER IN PERSON OR ONLINE.
