IN FEBRUARY 2022, EBRU GENCER PRESENTED ABOUT URBAN DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND CLIMATE CHANGE AT THE AMERICAN RED CROSS, GLOBAL DISASTER PREPAREDNESS CENTER RETREAT ON CLIMATE CHANGE. IN JUNE 2022, EBRU GENCER PRESENTED ON "COASTAL CITIES AND PARTICIPATORY PLANNING FOR CLIMATE RESILIENT AND EQUITABLE DEVELOPMENT" AT THE GLOBAL DISASTER PREPAREDNESS CENTER NETWORKING EVENT DURING THE WORLD URBAN FORUM IN KATOWICE, POLAND.IN 2022, CUDRR+R PARTICIPATED IN TWO TECHNICAL WORKING GROUPS ORGANIZED BY THE UN OFFICE FOR DISASTER RISK REDUCTION: WORKING GROUP ON TRADITIONAL KNOWLEDGES FOR DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND WORKING GROUP ON RESILIENT INFRASTRUCTURE. IN JUNE 2022, CUDRR+R CO-ORGANIZED AND HOSTED A SESSION TOGETHER WITH THE GLOBAL ALLIANCE FOR URBAN CRISES AT THE WORLD URBAN FORUM IN KATOWICE, POLAND. THE SESSION WAS ENTITLED: "ENHANCING THE ROLE OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTS ACROSS THE HUMANITARIAN, DEVELOPMENT, PEACE AND SECURITY NEXUS."
