PALMS FOR LIFE FUND (PFLF) IS WORKING IN SOUTHERN AFRICA TO IMPROVE WELL-BEING, HUMAN RIGHTS, AND ACCESS TO EDUCATION FOR MOST VULNERABLE POPULATIONS. WE USE A RESULTS-DRIVEN, HUMAN RIGHTS APPROACH, WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF THE UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS.IN NAMIBIA AND BOTSWANA, PFLF IMPLEMENTS A 3-YEAR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, WITH GENEROUS FUNDING BY A PRIVATE FAMILY FOUNDATION. THIS PROGRAM WORKS WITH HISTORICALLY MARGINALISED INDIGENOUS GROUPS: THE SAN IN NAMIBIA, AND INDIGENOUS POPULATIONS (MAINLY SAN COMMUNITIES IN BOTSWANA). IN BOTH COUNTRIES, PFLF WORKS CLOSELY WITH GOVERNMENT AND LOCAL IMPLEMENTING PARTNERS, WHO ARE EXPERTS IN THEIR PARTICULAR AREAS OF SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT. PROJECTS ARE DIVERSE AND RANGE FROM VOCATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS, TO HYDROPONICS INSTALLATIONS, TO INTERVENTIONS TO ELIMINATE GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE.IN ESWATINI, PFLF HAS COMPLETED OVER 10 YEARS OF SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT WORK WITH PROJECTS FOCUSING ON VULNERABLE CHILDREN, IMPROVING ACCESS TO SANITATION/WATER, ACCESS TO EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION FOR ALL, AND HUMAN RIGHTS FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND DIFFERING ABILITIES.
