OUR MISSION IS TO ADVOCATE FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH DISORDER PREVENTION, INTERVENTION, TREATMENT AND RECOVERY RESOURCES, ELIMINATE THE STIGMA OF ADDICTION THROUGH OUTREACH EVENTS AND EDUCATION, AND SUPPORT ALL PATHWAYS OF RECOVERY.

PEER RECOVERY SPECIALISTS ARE AVAILABLE 24/7 TO PROVIDE RECOVERY SUPPORT THROUGH THE VOH HOTLINE. VOICES OF HOPE PEER RECOVERY SPECIALISTS HAD 8,821 ENCOUNTERS WITH INDIVIDUALS SEEKING BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TREATMENT AND/OR RECOVERY SUPPORT IN 2021. ALTHOUGH COVID SHUT DOWN OUR RCC FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS, WE HELD RECOVERY SUPPORT MEETINGS ONLINE. 5,997 INDIVIDUALS ATTENDED RECOVERY SUPPORT MEETINGS DURING 2021.3,241 PARTICIPANTS SIGNED UP FOR AND RECEIVED REGULAR RECOVERY SUPPORT CALLS FROM PEER RECOVERY SPECIALISTS. 883 PEOPLE WERE REFERRED TO SUD TREATMENT. 158 PEOPLE RECEIVED 1:1 RECOVERY PLANNING.
THROUGH A GRANT FROM THE MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH HARM REDUCTION SERVICES AND PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CECIL COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT HARMONY PROGRAM, VOH PEER RECOVERY SPECIALISTS ENGAGE WITH THE COMMUNITY TO BUILD HEALTHY HELPING RELATIONSHIPS, OFFER ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE AND PREVENTION TOOLS TO LOWER OVERDOSE DEATHS, INFECTIONS, AND SUFFERING. HOPE STREET HELD 12,455 ENCOUNTERS IN CECIL COUNTY IN 2021. OUR WOUND CARE NURSE PERFORMED 45 HOME VISITS.
VOICES OF HOPE IS DEDICATED TO HELPING PEOPLE IN RECOVERY JOIN THE HEALTHCARE PROFESSION AS ADVOCATES, USING OUR EXPERIENCE WITH BEHAVIORAL HEALTH DISORDER RECOVERY TO ENGAGE WITH, PROVIDE RESOURCES TO, ENCOURAGE AND OFFER HOPE TO THOSE STRUGGLING AND THEIR FAMILIES. WITH FUNDING SUPPORT FROM THE OPIOID WORKFORCE INNOVATION FUND, PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND TRAINING CENTER AND PEER EMPLOYERS WHO PROVIDE INTERNSHIPS, 19STUDENTS BECAME CERTIFIED IN 2021, 2 BECAME RE-CERTIFIED, 31 COMPLETED THE PROCESS AND ARE CURRENTLY WAITING FOR CPRS EXAM DATES.
RAPID REHOUSING: CONTRACTED WITH THE CECIL COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT TO SUPPORT HOUSING STABILITY FOR HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN CECIL COUNTY. THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, WE HAVE SUPPORTED 4 FAMILIES WITH A TOTAL OF 7 CHILDREN TO FIND PERMANENT HOUSING. RECOVERY HOUSING: THROUGH FUNDRAISING AND GRANTS, 35 CECIL INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED FUNDING SUPPORT FOR THE ENTRY FEE/FIRST WEEKS RENT IN SOBER LIVING/RECOVERY HOUSING.
