TO PROVIDE FUNDRAISING TO ASSIST IN THE FUNDING OF THE KEEL-LAYING, CHRISTENING AND COMMISSIONING CEREMONIES OF THE USS INDIANA (SSN 789), AS WELL AS TO EDUCATE THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND RAISE AWARENESS WITH RESPECT THERETO. ONCE THE USS INDIANA (SSN 789) IS COMMISSIONED, THE MISSION OF THE CORPORATION WILL HAVE AN ADDITIONAL PURPOSE OF PROVIDING THE MEANS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR CAMARADERIE AND SUPPORT AMONG THE UNITED STATES NAVY SAILORS WHO ARE SERVING OR HAVE SERVED ABOARD THE USS INDIANA (SSN 789), AS WELL AS CONTINUING TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC AND RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT THE SUBMARINE.
