FOUR KINGDOMS COUNCIL SUPPORTS PEOPLE AND PROJECTS THAT EXEMPLIFY OUR STATED PURPOSE,AS OUTLINED IN OUR ARTICLES OF ORGANIZATION (AS WELL AS OUR MISSION STATEMENT): "TO SUPPORT HUMAN ENDEAVORS THAT RECOGNIZE THE NOBILITY OF HUMANITY AND STRIVE FOR ITS REALIZATION, INCLUDING SUPPORTING PEOPLE AND PROJECTS THAT EXEMPLIFY WISE AND COMPASSIONATE CARE FOR EACH OTHER, THE EARTH, AND ALL OF ITS CREATURES." AT PRESENT, OUR FIRST AND FLAGSHIP PROJECT IS "DHARMA'S GARDEN", A SMALL NEIGHBORHOOD EDUCATIONAL FARM WITH ITS OWN STATED MISSION "TO DEMONSTRATE, EDUCATE, AND INSPIRE OTHERS TO TAKE ON THE IMPORTANT WORK OF TENDING THE EARTH".

WONDERHAVEN LAND TRUST PROGRAM:SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE PLACEMENT OF A PERMANENT CONSERVATION EASEMENT TO PROTECT, IN PERPETUITY, THE PROPERTY OWNED BY THE NONPROFIT, ENSURING THAT ANY FUTURE DEVELOPMENT IS IN LINE WITH THE STATED CONSERVATION VALUES. PARTNERED WITH UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO GRADUATE STUDENTS AS WELL AS PROFESSIONAL CONSERVATION EXPERTS TO DEVELOP A COMPREHENSIVE STEWARDSHIP PLAN TO GUIDE THE LONG-TERM MANAGEMENT OF OUR LAND CONSERVATION PROJECT.


DHARMAS GARDEN PROGRAM:OPERATED AN URBAN FARM AND HOMESTEAD IN THE CITY WITH THE MISSION TO DEMONSTRATE, EDUCATE, AND INSPIRE OTHERS TO TAKE ON THE IMPORTANT WORK OF TENDING THE EARTH. THROUGH THIS WORKING DEMONSTRATION FARM, WE PROVIDED FOOD FOR OVER 150 FAMILIESSUPPORTED ENTIRELY THROUGH DONATIONSWITH EXCESS FOOD DONATED TO LOCAL FOOD RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS. IN ADDITION, WE OFFERED HANDS-ON EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS, INCLUDING NUMEROUS CLASSES, WORKSHOPS, AND EVENTS (SUCH AS CLASSES ON BIODYNAMIC FARMING, COMPOSTING, BASKET WEAVING, BIRD-BANDING, NATURE-BASED TEACHER TRAINING). WE HOSTED NUMEROUS SCHOOL VISITS AND FIELD TRIPS FOR LOCAL STUDENTS FROM PRE-K THROUGH COLLEGE-AGE, AS WELL AS PROVIDED INVALUABLE WORK EXPERIENCES TO TEENS AND YOUNG ADULTS IN OUR COMMUNITY.
