FOUR KINGDOMS COUNCIL SUPPORTS PEOPLE AND PROJECTS THAT EXEMPLIFY OUR STATED PURPOSE,AS OUTLINED IN OUR ARTICLES OF ORGANIZATION (AS WELL AS OUR MISSION STATEMENT): "TO SUPPORT HUMAN ENDEAVORS THAT RECOGNIZE THE NOBILITY OF HUMANITY AND STRIVE FOR ITS REALIZATION, INCLUDING SUPPORTING PEOPLE AND PROJECTS THAT EXEMPLIFY WISE AND COMPASSIONATE CARE FOR EACH OTHER, THE EARTH, AND ALL OF ITS CREATURES." DHARMAS GARDEN PROGRAM:OPERATED AN URBAN FARM AND HOMESTEAD IN THE CITY WITH THE MISSION TO TO DEMONSTRATE, EDUCATE, AND INSPIRE OTHERS TO TAKE ON THE IMPORTANT WORK OF TENDING THE EARTH. THROUGH THIS WORKING DEMONSTRATION FARM, WE PROVIDED FOOD FOR OVER 150 FAMILIESSUPPORTED ENTIRELY THROUGH DONATIONSWITH EXCESS FOOD DONATED TO LOCAL FOOD RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS. IN ADDITION, WE OFFERED HANDS-ON EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, INCLUDING MORE THAN 50 EDUCATIONAL CLASSES OR EVENTS ATTENDED BY NEARLY 800 PARTICIPANTS, WITH MORE THAN 200 HOURS OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING (SUCH AS CLASSES ON BIODYNAMIC FARMING, COMPOSTING, SOAPMAKING, BASKETWEAVING, BIRD-BANDING, NATURE-BASED TEACHER TRAINING). WE ALSO HOSTED NUMEROUS SCHOOL VISITS AND FIELD TRIPS, AS WELL AS PROVIDED INVALUABLE WORK EXPERIENCES TO TEENS AND YOUNG ADULTS IN OUR COMMUNITY.
WONDERHAVEN LAND TRUST PROGRAM:SUCCESSFULLY GATHERED THE SUPPORT OF OVER 600 FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITY TO PURCHASE THE 5-ACRE PROPERTY ON WHICH DHARMAS GARDEN OPERATES, NARROWLY SAVING THE LAND FROM BEING LOST TO DEVELOPMENT, AND WITH THE EXPRESS INTENTION OF CONSERVING THE PROPERTY IN PERPETUITYFOR THE BENEFIT OF THIS AND FUTURE GENERATIONS.
